Plagiarism Policy
Indus Journal of Law and Social Sciences (IJLSS) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. Our Plagiarism Policy is designed to ensure the originality of submitted works and to address any instances of academic misconduct effectively.
Plagiarism is defined as the act of using someone else's work, ideas, or intellectual property without appropriate acknowledgment. This includes but is not limited to:
Direct Copying: Reproducing text, images, or data verbatim without citation.
Paraphrasing: Rephrasing or summarizing someone else's work without proper attribution.
Self-Plagiarism: Reusing substantial portions of previously published work without proper citation or permission.
Unauthorized Reuse: Using text, figures, or data from a previous publication without appropriate permissions or acknowledgment.
Plagiarism Screening: All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a plagiarism detection process using state-of-the-art software. This helps to identify any instances of content duplication or unacknowledged use of sources.
Authorial Responsibility: Authors must ensure that their manuscripts adhere to ethical guidelines, provide complete citations for all sources, and avoid any form of plagiarism. Submissions must include a statement of originality confirming that the work is free from plagiarism.
Authors have the right to appeal decisions related to plagiarism allegations. The appeal must be submitted in writing within 30 days from the date of notification and should include detailed justifications for contesting the decision. The appeal will be reviewed by a separate committee to ensure impartiality.
